"If you're from another planet, how come you sound like you're from the North?"
"Lots of planets have a North."
So thanks to Dru, who gave me the Bigford 20 version of the "Doctor Who" theme, I came rocketing out of my room last night, yelling, "That's Doctor Who! Don't change the channel!!"
Turns out my parents were waiting for it to come on, but that's not the point. Doctor Who called to me in the middle of WoW with my headphones on. It's that good.
So, yeah, I caught the first episode with the living plastic. I love it. It probably helps that both the Doctor and Rose's boyfriend are smokin' hot.
Holy crap, this means there's going to be a television show I actually try to watch again!
Uhhh... as far as yesterday, apparently I'm a turnip (slang used by medics who draw blood, meaning "Goddamnit, try the other arm. No? Stick it in her hand and call it a day. She's gotta have some blood in there SOMEWHERE."), and that the amount of blood I need to loose before I become faint is about half a teaspoon. The doctor needed a whole teaspoon. I am SUCH a wimp.
But I got good breakfast out of it, and a little shopping at cheap places. I got, among other things, a venus flytrap whom I've named Boris. He's quite pretty, and I intend to try to keep him alive for quite some time.
Also, Long Beach State and Davis are now my top two picks, with Long Beach being the more financially practical of the two. Hm.
