Doing much cooking today. Mom's making some sort of casserole, and I'm making demented gingerbread cookies. Gulps, turkeys, piggies, little businessmen, armadillos... We're just playing around and seeing if the recipies are any good for Thanksgiving.
I also scanned 17 pieces of art today. Oi vey.
Also, my pal Amy (the one who lets me display my stuff in her booth) just hit the big time. She sold a jacket (that's about $400, kids) at a fashion show and has her stuff displayed in the front of a new boutique. I'm incredibly happy for her, but at the same time biting back some illogical jealousy. She's got this success because she's been working harder for longer and she's invested a lot of money into her business. (And it's really a business.)
I really am happy for her, though, because she's had ongoing health problems and unemployment, so I hope she continues to be successful. She could use the confidence booster.
Also, mom and dad picked up a Shrinky-Dink maker at a yard sale. Remember Shrinky-Dink? You draw something on it, cut it out, stick it in the silly little oven, and it shrinks to like 1/3 it's original size? I made myself a chibi Arbiter pendant, partially as a test (to see if the oven worked) and partially because I'm a HUGE FREAKING NERD.
'S cute.
