I was up before the sun was today. And it was FLIPPING COLD. My spot in the booth is much better now (I'm at the front instead of tucked into a back corner), so people actually gave my art a passing glance, and a few picked up the dust bunnies and looked at them. One even mentioned that her nephew would like the jellyfish and the Ivory Minds. (Amy keeps calling them squids. I kinda understand, but if I saw a squid that looked like that, I'd be worried.)
The
prints look nice framed, but no one asked about them until after I had gotten the @#$%ing things packed up, and even then, they weren't interested in buying.
So yeah, I pulled a big fat zero today. Well, less than zero, because of the cost of frames, food, and my sad weakness for homemade sugar cookies.
But the other vendors were very nice, the place was nice, and the people in charge were nice. They just need to learn how to advertise (Two lines in the garage sale section of the newspaper and a "radio ad" that never plays, even on the all-Christian station it was submitted to do not constitute "advertising". Also, MORE SIGNS.)
The kitty adoption center was there, so I got my fill of cute, too.
Gahdamn, I'm tired.
