Less Scene=More Good.

All right, Serenity was good. I liked it a lot. Especially Jane (I was hearing that name properly, right?). He makes me giggle.

And, um, Didley Squat was good. They kinda lacked the energy they had the last time I saw them, but I suspect it was partially from lack of stage space. The other part would be the crowd.

The audience sucked. They all stood there with their arms crossed and their eyes glazed over, like they were watching TV. The only exceptions were a few fangirls for the first band, who ran around screaming and fighting over a guitar pick or something. No one really looked like they were enjoying themselves, which was a killer for me, since part of the reason I love going to see oddball bands like Didley Squat, the Secretions, the Phenomenauts, and the Groovie Ghoulies is because everyone involved has so much fun. As a result, the audience is usually friendly and easy to talk to, the bands watch each other, and it's generally positive.

I used to joke about it, but I really am getting sick of scenesters.
