Snakes on a Plane!
It's actually not bad at all, once you agree to take into account that it's nothing more than a fancy B-movie.
The snakes themselves made me snigger a few times (and occasionally bitch and moan), but that's just 'cause I'm a nerd.
Speaking of, since when did "Do you have MySpace?" become a pickup line? No, I prefer that people learn about me first hand. It doesn't kill as many brain cells that way.
In other news, the kids LOVED the new bugs, to a point that it surprised me. I was used to the small group that congregates during recess, but then we ended up with a group of only three girls for sports. I was showing my new specimens to Jackie, the only other woman in the program who puts up with bugs, while we had let the girls go play on the playground.
Next thing I know, they've all forgotten about the slides and balls, and have crowded around the bugs. Through the whole rotation, I taught them about the bugs they were looking at and anything else that kind of had to do with them. At one point, one of the girls was picked up by her mom, and she had me give her mom a mini-lesson on the tarantula. I'm still a bit stunned. They could have been off playing, but they wanted to learn. Maybe there's hope for us yet.
On a side note, the girls decided that the tarantula's name, with no prompting from me other than "what do you want to name it?", is Fluffy.
In other words, they're training to be excellent little minions.
Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek ho!
