I'm home from work, drinking ice water slowly but steadily. I only worked an hour and fifteen minutes today, which royally pisses me off, but apparently I was pale and was having issues with remaining vertical.
I'd whine about my lack of heat tolerence, but once it goes over 118 farenheight, I give up on being grumpy at myself and focus on not getting too ill to go back to work tomorrow. Learned my lesson on that one.
Things to do: finish and scan art requests, find a recipie for cooking tomorrow, and keep checking back with the awesome dude at the dollar store for more insects preserved in lucite. Apparently he's going to try to get another large tarantula in for me. There's also a cicada that's absolutely gorgeous. I picked up a smallish scorpion and a metallic green scarab before work today, and the kids LOVED them. Another teacher offered to bring in an old lucite paperwieght tarantula that apparently terrifies her.
I am slowly becoming the bug/uglyfish lady. Whee! *throws things at the EcoStation* Hire me, you bastards. You know you love me, and I'll bring my own teaching materials!
If I do end up teaching there, I'm totally going to buy the rest of the deep sea puppets that my gulper eel was part of.
Am I rambling? I think I am.
I also think there was a fair amount of geeeeeek in there.
