New Snake Species Discovered
BORNEO - Scientists have discovered a new species of snake that changes color. Researchers from Germany and the U.S. discovered the snake with a chameleon-like behavior in the Kapuas River basin in an Indonesian national park. It is about 18 inches long and poisonous. (BBC)
I WANT TO SEE IT!!! CRY WHINE NEED CONTACTS IN BORNEO.
Heheh, in other news, the July 3rd party was a lot of fun. My apprentice and I put on a damn good lightshow, despite a minikid and the token alcoholic trying to interfere.
The alcoholic makes me sad, because he's just barely older than me, and couldn't walk straight before the sun was even down. His idea of moderation is that he's "stopped going to bars", which means that he just gets smashed at home instead. I guess it's good he's not driving anywhere, but I grew up with him, and it breaks my heart to see him like this. He really doesn't seem to care for his health at all, and only comes to my friends' parties to drink, with the occasional socialization as long as it's near the bar area.
The minikid is a total psycho and a pyromaniac, and he REALLY needs a serious energy outlet--like kickboxing or something. He adores me, though, which is hilarious.
As I said though, I had fun. I'm glad to see my apprentice doing so well. It means when I move out of the area, there will be someone to carry on the tradition of getting as many fuses near each other as possible, lighting them, running like hell, then running back to light the ones you missed.
Another side note: More meds to give the girls, but this is only a four-day thing. Poor kids.
