I just read your first four Penzberg entries back to back- it sounds like you all are having such a great time, other than odd outlet configurations and illnesses :-) What a great story about the pharmacist and pediatrician too. It's funny, pharamacies in the US are all about filling perscriptions and buying miscellaneous health/household items. It seems like many other countries have more involved & proactive pharmacies. In Brazil, a pharmacist can perscribe a number of medications and will actively recommend over the counter items as well. When I got sick there, I first got a perscription straight from a pharmacy (based solely on Fred's dad being a regular patron), and then got a stronger perscription over the phone from a doctor friend of the family. I'm sure the US medical system would flip out at the "unregulated" nature, but it was extremely personalized and I didn't have to trek around the massive city feeling crappy.
Can't wait to read more about your adventures, especially seeing the differences between living there and in the US!
