(no subject)
I just wandered over to good ol' livejournal to see how my peeps are. Either you all are depressed or just non-posty. So that's okay, I don't mind...makes for less reading. Speaking of reading, someone explain to me the logic of assigning ANNA KARENINA during those last couple weeks of classes...just to read "real quick"??? Earth to Professor Evil: you cannot read AK in just a couple weeks (especially those weeks where everything from papers to my first born child are due).
But that's unrelated and over. I'm taking my last final tomorrow, then leaving Saturday for home. YAY..ish. I still love being here, I never get sick of it. I'm a college campus addict! Although I do wish Kitty (no, not the one from Anna Karenina!) could be here. She's so damn cute. And my motorcycle...not like I'll ride it when I get home anyway, though. Boo. Even though my school is evil and is run by Satan, I still love being here. But anyway...I'm actually posting to this because I still have twenty minutes to burn before my roommate and I cook up some pizza rolls and study Russian (and probably watch more Buffy re-runs on DVD). So I'm sitting in the library waiting for her because she works here. I'm bored (or in Russian: m-nay skooch-no). I cannot transliterate. I think I'll go pass the time looking for old books that haven't been moved to the Rare Books room yet in the library. I found a FIRST EDITION of Stonewall Jackson's biography today written by HIS WIFE....dated 1895. Our library is funny like that...all the old books are kinda forgotten until somebody finds it and says "hey...this should be in the wicked awesome Rare Books room." It's the coolest room ever...trust me. I think I'm done being boring now. Toodles!
