Day Two

Jul 16, 2005 06:25

Long night. Lots of things going on there. Going out and just saying some stuff that will help me to remember and keep track of all the thoughts I've had tonight.

I wish there was a way to put myself in the position of every person I've ever asked a question to, because if there's one thing I'm better at than asking questions, it's answering them, and if there's one thing I enjoy, it's getting a satisfactory answer. Henceforth (awesome word) I would just be happy as a pig in shit if I could just ask myself every question I've ever asked anyone in my life, but answer it from that person's perspective in my own words. There are very few questions... maybe 1 or 2 a month that I get a full satisfying answer for, but when it happens I get a sense of contenment that is different from any other feeling and really good. I like getting a good answer.

There are two types of people in this world, "Leaders" and "Followers". Most people acknowledge this as truth, but I'm going to delve in deeper. Under the category "Leaders" are several sub-stratas of the human psyche. There are those that lead because they want others to follow. Anyone reading this can acknowledge that they've met this type of person before. These are your typical "your not cool if you don't do what I do." people. Trendsetters that tell other people to follow the trend. Then, there are those that lead themselves. I would categorize myself in this area of "Leaders." I make my own path for myself. I know several of these people, anyone that's a "loner" is one of these people. The difference between a "loner" and those that make their own path is that most people look at a "loner" and say "That's cool, but..." I know several people in my life that are like this, they don't necessarily want followers, but they might not understand when they're performing the fundamental aspects of leading by making their own path and setting out in unique ways and yet are not found admirable enough by others to walk the path that they have made. When "followers" find a "loner" that's doing something they appreciate so much that they want to own a part of it, then that "loner" becomes a leader.

Hmm... that's enough rambling for now. I need to get some god damned sleep.

Think about what you've read.
