Warning: This is NOT a Lumos post.
Okay, just had to get that out ouf the way. I hope all you folks have a wonderful time in Vegas!
As you know, I'm going to New York next week. For those interested,
here is the question I ended up submitting for Rowling.
Each book seems to represent one of the seven Works of Mercy:
Book 1: Feed the Hungry
Book 2: Clothe the Naked
Book 3: Visit the Prisoner
Book 4: Bury the Dead
Book 5: Care for the Sick
Book 6: Give Drink to the Thirsty
So does this mean that in book seven we will Welcome the Stranger?
It was SO difficult to narrow it down to one question, but I finally decided to try something intellectual that I don't recall JKR explicitly discussing in any interviews.
One that came really close was whether we'll learn more about the significance of astronomy and the centaurs.
Another was whether there was a deliberate similarity to the "twittering birds" that came out of Krum's wand in GoF in the Weighing of the Wands chapter, and the "twittering birds" that first acted as a halo, then an arsenal, for our dear Hermione in HBP. LOL.
But I figured the answer to that last one is pretty obvious. ;)
Anyway, I hope you are all well. Don't let the fandom kill you, okay? Smile and breathe. That's all it takes.
OMFG I am going to see J. K. Rowling in five days! SQUEE!
Cheers.
