Spoon, who I sometimes lovingly refer to when we're alone as KC (short for "kickstand" if you were wondering. Yes, I know, don't ask.), has got to be the most un-curious cat on the planet. It's unreal. Nothing ever really catches her interest. Strings don't do it for her, lizards hardly garner the bat of her eye, even shaking her jug of food usually receives little more than a glance. It's not even that she's aloof, or stand-offish, like some cats. She is genuinely a friendly creature. I've never seen her pounce on anything, and I was pretty sure that cats, by nature, were pouncers. At least Zeke was. That cat would even pounce on an unsuspecting human if there was nothing else to occupy him. The only thing I've ever seen Spoon give more than a passing glance to was my record player. Once, as she was occupying her self-proclaimed throne (the ottoman), I see her head start moving in circles like she was watching an ocillating fan. I was puzzled until I realized that she was watching the record go round and round. Zeke also loved for me to chase him around the house. I'm afraid if I ran after Spoon, she'd probably do two things.
#1. Pee.
That cat pees more than any cat I've ever seen. She is literally a peeing machine. I don't think she has guts. I'm convinced that she is just full of pie. Or, pee. Which is kind of like pie, but with two e's and not an i.
#2 Die.
Seriously. This cat was hit by a car, and more money was spent to save her life than my own life is worth. If I were her, I'd be like "fuck you, humans for spending all that money on me. I'm going to die now!" Also, she was hit buy a fucking car. She's the size of, well, a cat. Not a very large one either. If it was Cat versus Car, give the point to the damn cat. She might have lost a leg, but the car probably lost its soul. (On a side note, where the hell do you think that leg is? ) So, point being, I'd wager that most of her alleged 9 lives have come and gone. Me suddenly running after her would most likely make this last one shorter than it needs to be.
