OMG! A REAL POST?!
Last night I attended a Breaking Dawn release party at Barnes and Noble. It wasn't great, it wasn't crappy, it was satisfying. To get the whole picture, I'll describe my whole night.
First, I went to my school to meet my friend. I go to a magnet school, so we have no zoning and my friends are all over the city. My mom hates this.
So then we were going to play in the fountains in this park downtown, but they were closed. So we went to feed the ducks at another park. There were pigeons everywhere and right before we left I got pooped on my head, =/. I made my friend clean it out though, lmao.
Then we went home and me and my friend, Heather, made our shirts for Breaking Dawn. Her's said Mrs. Emmett Cullen and Rosalie WHO?! on the back. And mine said Why I Run With The Wolves: and Jacob Black, Remus Lupin, and Oz on the back.
We chilled for a bit before going to her church for Vacation Bible School. I had to be around little kids for a few hours, which was all worth it because OMG GUYS I found Phelps twin look a like. Like, I wish I had a picture because I don't know if it's just me, and he's not ginger or anything, but omg he was so cute. And he had a little bit of a country accent which IDK I sometimes find cute. And like, I thought he was 17 or 18 at the time. Come to find out later from Heather that he is 30 and has a KID. Yeah, I felt a little gross. But yeah, I will search for a picture of him, because you guys need to see that he does not look his age.
Mk, after VBS we helped clean up, I was kind of a 5th wheel because Heather and her friend Jessie both had their boyfriends there but whatev. Then we left for BD~
We got there and the first thing we see when we're walking towards Barnes and Noble is the redblackandwhite of the Twilight window display and I was like "...Okay, I'm a ~little excited now." Then when we walked in there was like, a piece of linoleum floor laid out and there were guys kind of dressed as clowns break dancing. I didn't get it at all but it was so cool. And it led to the discovery of this gem. I wanted to ask the guy who was wearing it for a picture, but I was in geek mode so I didn't.
So Heather, Jessie and I chilled for a bit, just looking around like the kid's section after we saw that the Teens section was permeated with vampire books. Oh, hello bandwagon. I had gotten one compliment on my shirt by now!
Then we chilled in music because there were ~more~ vamp books in the kid's section and I was freaking the fuck out. I found the Dark Knight Soundtrack and NNNNNGHed all over it even though I couldn't listen to it on the little things. But omg I flipped when I saw 'Why So Serious?' was the first track. Christmas, please.
So then they had a contest where you had to make a wedding dress out of toilet paper. We did not participate. We stood on the sidelines lulzing. I got another compliment on my shirt! And then they announced that there were ballots for Team Edward and Team Jacob. And there was like a huge sound system, it was kind of like being at a show. Anyway, I cheered for Jacob and got a death glare from a girl. *squeals* It completed my life. So then I ran over and voted for Jakey. Edward's box had like pretty wrapping paper around it and Jake's was just clear. I didn't understand that. Then I was walking away and got ~another compliment on my shirt, this one knew who Oz was! I was like YAY BFF!
Then we went up to the Starbucks to get something to drink and omg they had special Edward and Jacob drinks. The Edward one was a vanilla frappacino with strawberries and OMG I swear it sounded gross, not even because of my bias. Then the Jacob drink was Godiva Hot Dark Chocolate with whipped cream and caramel. It was DELISH.
Next, we sat down for trivia. I teamed up with one of Heather's friends who was there. She kinda sucked tbh but I didn't care. I was hopped up on adrenaline and the chocolate from my Jacob. Srsly, I was dancing like a fool, 'cause the DJ was playing all these songs. Like, Hunting for Witches by Bloc Party and then he played I'm Not Okay by My Chemical Romance. I daaanced and lulzed at the same time.
Then the trivia was done, I didn't even bother to check the answers, the questions were lame. So we were just chilling and I started looking through Heather's purse and found her ties she had had he boyfriend tie and I put one on my head a la Seamus in PoA or Tyler of The Remus Lupins at their shows. IDK why I did, I was just being crazy.
Then we got in line and we behind these girls who had feathers in their hair and two of them were like dressed up fancy. I still don't understand this. But I listened to their convos a little and they were discussing Nessie, very loudly too, and I was like "They know spoilers."
And then I ducked out of line because I hadn't reserved a book. Yes, I know this makes no sense, but whatever. Then Heather and Jessie got their books, screamed outside, and we left. Oh also, I got a button that says "I was ~bitten~ by Breaking Dawn." Bitten is in red. I pinned it to the tie around my head.
When we got home I changed into my Remus Lupins shirt, stuck in GOF and talked to my bbs on Caps. So yeah, my BD experience had a lot more HP theme then I thought it would. But I'm glad it did. Now, I'm waiting for Amazon to stop being fail and to deliver my fucking book. *glares* I always got my HP books the day they came out.
So, yeah, I'm gonna go read
