I thinks it's important for people to support it. It's silly for people to be against proposal 2 because the democratic party in general is. You should read it.

Subsequently, references to race and gender in those programs either have been eliminated or have been replaced by socioeconomic status, which is a highly problematic proxy for race, since not all under represented minorities have low incomes and even those who are affluent may still experience bias and discrimination. Socioeconomic status is ineffective as a proxy for gender."
