Dusty

Wow, I just got back from seeing Dusty: The Original Pop Diva and I can tell you IT WAS AWESOME. I won't drabble on for much, but you know that Tamsin Carrol everyone's being ranting about who is the star and apparently the Next Big Thing? Ok, she was away and her understudy was in it, and it was STILL amazing. I loved it! They didn't like, dwell on stuff, and they had a great combination of humour and tragedy. They didn't sensationalise or go all preachy about all the lesbian stuff, and they filled it with likable and realistic characters. (Well, except maybe the Typical Camp Hairstylist, but hello, it's a show about a diva, what can you expect?) I thoroughly reccommend you go, even if you weren't into all Dusty's old soul stuff... I thought I only knew a few songs but I recognised almost all of them, and it's played so well.

(And it was so cute... there was this section of people all mum's age who got excited and stood up in the end... kinda like the 20 year old girls in Dirty Dancing, or me in We Will Rock You. =D )

If you can, go see it! It's an original Australian musical and it is well worth the ticket price!

family, wwry, movies, singing, i'm so cool, musical, characters
