Hm.
Why does the rest of the english speaking world get to see Goblet of Fire before Australia?
It's out like, TODAY everywhere else. Except New Zealand, where it's out like, a day earlier than Australia. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? How is it that NZ gets it before us, just because they made Lord of the Rings is no reason for special treatment! It's not like Australians speak a different language to the rest of the world. In fact, even if we did, it wouldn't matter. Why? BECAUSE GERMANY'S GETTING IT ON THE 27TH OF NOVEMBER. They have to dub the whole thing into another friggen LANGUAGE and they still get it a week before Australia! Makes! No! Sense!
Hurrrm, it sounds like I'm overreacting way to much over just a movie right? Well no it's not just that it's Harry Potter (which I luuuurve) but the fact that even with such a big, franchisey film like this, Australia still gets it later. Honestly, people are all like, "Australia is the worst country for downloading films illegally and buying pirate DVDs," and I'm like, "GEE, I WONDER WHY. MAYBE BECAUSE AUSTRALIA IS SICK OF HEARING THE REST OF THE WORLD RANT ABOUT ALL THE WONDERFUL THINGS EVERYONE ELSE IS GETTING WHILST THE AUSSIES TWIDDLE THEIR THUMBS AND LISTEN TO THEIR BRAND NEW SONY WALKMAN, FEATURING A CASSETTE PLAYER AND TWO BASS SETTINGS! COS WE DON'T NEED IPODS!" Yeah, it just seems idiotic. Geez, it's not like Australia is so far away that it takes a long time to... i dunno, distribute the reels.
IDIOTS. We have the internet. We're gonna fucking use it! You wanna disconnect us from the rest of the world, we'll just reconnect ourselves illegally.
What a weird rant. But fully. "If you download a movie from the internet... THAT'S STEALING." We don't need reminders. Maybe if we actually got films quicker, and if TICKETS WEREN'T SUCH A GOD DAMN RIP-OFF, We would actually go to the cinema and do stuff the legal way. DUH. My god. UGH.
