Intro to the Excellent Adventure
Hi all,
Just letting those who don't know know [I love/hate when that happens in a sentence] that I'll be spending roughly the next week (or just under) in Canberra with pennypops. Journal updates may happen, but probably won't.
Also, the bajillion things I keep saying I'll post an entry on... yeah, probably not this week. BUT I WILL. Definitely, I will post about the Nanna Party, cos aside from my fangirlyness, it was also an awesome night. And all my rockin' partying from this week. =P And maybe exams.
Also, I'm a stalker. No, scrub that. I'm not a stalker yet, but I'm well on my way.
I AM a geek though.
Anyway, yeah, I'm visiting the wonderful Penny, one of the first friends I made at Tintern (although I was kinda intimidated by her at first, and she thought I was a bit odd and a bit dull. But well we bonded over Harry Potter books, and then well I guess the story just tells itself. =P), and one of my closest friends to this day, whom I have not seen for about 5 or 6 months due to her having MOVED TO CANBERRA FOR UNIVERSITY. The fool.
A wonderfully serendipitous occurance, er, occurred, wherein my parents had enough FlyBuys points for one person to fly to either Canberra or Adelaide (both are holes, for different reasons =P ) which had to be used up before the end of June, and neither of them could use it, so they kindly gave them to me - on the proviso that they don't have to pay for accomodation. Which they won't, due to me sleeping curled up in a little ball like a cat on the end of Penny's bed.
So yeah. Thus begins my Excellent Adventure (which it's being called from now on. Or EA for short). In Australia's capital city - yes, that's right, it's actually NOT Sydney - I will be a tourist for the first time since I was a midgetty little 7 year old (I think that's how old I was last time I was there). I'm gonna be SO touristy. I'm gonna take photos of everything. And go EVERYWHERE. YAY.
Anyone wanting to urgently contact me, try my gmail email, or just sms or phone me. Or phone Penny. =D Although, knowing me, I probably WILL end up checking LJ or Myspace or something. Nah we'll be sweet. I'm pretty easy to contact.
SO EXCITED. I'VE MISSED PENNY SO MUCH.
I was gonna do more ranting about how awesome Penny is, but I will be experiencing this awesomeness for the next few days anyway, so there's no urgent need.
