I was going to write an entry on how awesome (or not) Pirates 3 was, but the combination of the Livejournal websites not working last night (was this the whole internet? or just me and my lil computer?) and me getting silly and grumpy and subsequently drunk, a review was not written. Well, actually, one was (in MS word, in anticipation of LJ coming ( Read more... )

The ending made me sad :( I spent the whole movie going, 'It's okay, it's Disney, it was originally for kiddies, Will won't die and end up on the Dutchman forever...'

...and then he was. I was like, 'SHIT NO THE ONE HAPPY ENDING I WANTED!'

That made me so sad! Elizabeth. Lost. Everyone. Sure, she got a kid. Whatever. LOST EVERYONE. One day every ten years. Yep. That's one healthy relationship. Plus she'll age, and he won't (at least, I don't think), and it'll just be...argh. So upset.

Jack Davenport played Norrington. Awesome actor. Really funny (ever seen "Coupling"? He's fantastic in that show).

What I love about Geoffrey Rush is that he had a grand total of one line in the second movie...and fucking owned it. Love him, love his character.

But yeah...lots of confusing stuff. All the stuff with Calypso just kind of...went. She made a whirlpool and whatnot, but...yeah.

"Rather confusing. Especially with all that prisoner-trading and deal-brokering going on through... OH THE ENTIRE MIDDLE 2 HOURS. Hard to keep track of, but quite interesting, once you got your head around it."

God it was hard to keep track of! I kept forgetting who'd said what and who wanted what and who was on which side at whatever time...

And yes, Orlando Bloom is incapable of more than...oh...two facial expressions. And at times his acting is a tiny bit *snort* wooden. But dear God, I had forgotten how truly attractive that man could be. All the way through the movie I couldn't stop thinking about how I would so jump him given the chance.

Just kinda gross: Will's trail of dead bodies. Gross and creepy, although rather resourceful. But it made me wonder, where did he get the bodies from? Were they leftover corpses from the previous battle? Or is he just sitting there picking off crew members? Hmmm.

LOL! That's exactly what I was thinking! Was he just going around slitting everyone's throats?

Loved the movie, but hated the fact that it made me really sad at the end :( Just Not Good Enough!
