I'm moving to Chicago in TWO WEEKS! Yay!
Ashley has been the best sister ever and is looking at apartments for us. I guess we are going to live in her neighborhood because I want to live close by. So that would be Wicker Park/Bucktown.
I don't know if I am ready for the winter. Am I?
So my job is to care for a 7month old girlie named Tia. Her parents are very nice liberals. The mom is a professor and the educational director for the Art Institute of Chicago and the father is an attorney who works from home. It will be a 9-5er WITH A LUNCH BREAK! Hah. How you say? I walk the girl up to the mom's work and leave her for an hour around noon.
Also, the mom told me that Tia loves to walk around Nordstroms and Bloomingdales...? Yeah, and she wants me to stroll the baby all around town and she is giving me free passes to all Chicago museums. Sweet, huh? I wonder if she will have a GPS on me. 'Cause I would love to stroll the baby to my apartment to hang out sometimes.
She (her name is Tonya..I know I know, I Hate that name too) said that I will have tivo and the apartment building is in the heart of downtown and has a grocery store inside of it. I've never even heard of that craziness. Oh, and I'm hoping they'll let me use their gym after I get off work.
I will get $400/week plus benefits and taxes taken out after 60 days. So I think that will be enough.
Wait, the best part is that she wants to help me get a job after I've been their nanny for a while...but I don't know how long "a while" is. ?
