A Public Service Announcement on behalf of Citizens for Good Music
I'd like to refer you all to the just posted schedule for Lollapalooza 2007.
Specifically, the Friday (August 3rd) part:
11:45-12:30 The Fratellis
1:30-2:30 Ted Leo and The Pharmacists
2:30-3:30 The Polyphonic Spree
3:30-4:30 Electric Six
6:30-7:30 Satellite Party/The Black Keys
7:30-8:30 Femi Kuti/LCD Soundstystem
8:30-10:00 Daft Punk/Ben Harper
I wasn't enthralled enough with the lineup to pay the $195 that weekend passes were going for this year, but day passes are on limited sale right now for 80 bucks... not bad for four generally phenomenal acts in the morning/afternoon (two of which i can personally vouch for), a nice selection in the evening to choose from, and a two hour break in between to get out and see the city a little.
I think Steve and I are pretty sold on the idea at this point... other takers out there for an early August road trip?
