No clever exposition or movie/music selections tonight, kids. Sorry.

I found out tonight that Mr. Weitzel, my page school history teacher, passed away. He’d been struggling with cancer for the past two years, and had been in remission for a while before taking a turn for the worse again this past February. In a way, I’m grateful to be in DC right ( Read more... )

Nice tribute to Mr. Weitzel. I've put a link to it on my blog, http://kiwiaggie.blogspot.com, since you did a far better job describing his character than I could ever do.

Well said... I a page from the 1999/2000 page class had a great deal of respect for Mr. Weitzel. Having him twice a day I can honestly say was a highlight of my high school career. Nothing better than the flailing arms and exaggerated speeches at 6:30 am! I learned more from Mr. Weitzel than any other teacher in all of my years of being in the educational system.
