School - Another Update
Easter break has come and gone. It flew by in a snap! The next holiday we will have is Anzac Day (25th April), but it doesn't really affect me much because I have no classes on Friday anyway. However, it will be a long weekend for everybody.
The good news after much correspondence with the degree coordinator here, I am given advance standing for KXI206 Database Management Systems as I have already done it in poly (but rusty already because didn't use SQL for a long, long time, and won't be needing it any time soon too). Which meant that I had to replace this unit with an elective, but it was already the 4th week of school, missing out the first 4 weeks of coursework, so I decided to choose HMC206 Chinese 2 Oral & Aural Skills A. Something which I know, but need brushing up on - speaking Chinese properly. However, I think I made a wrong choice, because the students in this class are far weaker than myself. I should have signed up for a HMC312 Chinese 3 Oral & Aural Skills A which is more advance. Anyway, I can't change already because there will be a financial penalty, so I will just stick with it. Oh well.
Assignment deadlines are drawing closer, and I need to start bucking up and go full steam ahead. Too much mucking around and doing things at a glacier pace to do a good job in my assignments. 1 peer review due on Monday and the rest in mid and end April. Lots of team assignments this round and I am so not looking forward to it, especially one has already started but everyone doesn't seem to bother till the last minute. :(
