Phew...
So, the re-watch went really really well. I'm going to do a long post later about what I saw in it this time as opposed to the last time I watched it, but right now I'm still feeling a bit too raw. Also, I need to start making breakfast at some point.
I will say though that, although I still have many huge problems with the way the Torchwood side of things was handled (and a few problems with the political narrative, although I think that part of it was mostly brilliant), I saw a number of things quite differently this time, especially with regard to J/I (which I think was not particularly well written, but not as dismal as I thought it was when I last watched through their CoE scenes almost a year ago now). I don't think I'll ever love CoE, but I definitely have a new appreciation for it, and I do think that watching it again will help me in enjoying S1 and S2 again in a way that I couldn't before.
