Stuff I wonder about:
How is the word "personality" different from "soul"?
and
How are both different from "spirit"?
They frequently operate interchangeably, but sometimes they do not. This is weird.
*leetsy begins to stare off into space with furrowed brow* (so now you all have a typical sample of what is going on in the brain when I do this.)
My brother says, "Those are all just WORDS." He has the makings (at least some of them) of one of those monks that take a vow of silence for years and years. Cynical about language. :-P
He has a point. Reality transcends the tidy (or not so tidy) little categories we have for sorting, organizing, classifying, labeling, and dismissing it. But one ought not to to give up, but to master the art of language as thoroughly as they can, so to push it to reflect reality as accurately and with as much nuance as possible! This is why poetry is the highest form of language and pretty much the coolest thing we've come up with. IMO. *sighs* So many of my little meditations end up concluding thusly. :)
More conclusions:
Poetry (conceived rather broadly) and Silence are at opposite but equal ends of Cool. In the middle, we have some necessary and much unnecessary chatter and jargon (like this post!). Take it all with a grain of salt.
I ought to consult a dictionary or a Strong's concordance about the specific words in question.
I would totally include the Bible (all 66 books) in the poetry category, for the purposes of this post at least.
