I can never be not reading. I realize that now, as I am working on my third NOT FOR GORDON book within a 3 week time period. How I love reading books I don't have to challenge, to think about, to worrying about memorizing, to freak out over if I can't get finished by a certain time. The words of Marisa de los Santos ["Love Walked In" and "Belong To Me"] and Ann Brashares ["The Last Summer (of You and Me)"] lull me into another state, one where thoughts mix with the words on the page and I don't worry about work, papers, practicing, listening quizzes, conducting, music, mallets, tendonitis, the bookstore, money for Italy, keeping my grades up, exams...... It's so wonderful.
