I lived in:
30 & Now: Derby, UK, in the same house as now. Lived here since 1998, though it's hard to believe it's been that long!
I drove:
30: A Ford Fiesta (white). It was hubby's car before I married him and proved really quite reliable.
Now: A 2005 Ford Fiesta (blue). It was bought new and has been reliable again. It has AC, which is wonderful for me as I hate hot cars, but I found it more difficult to reverse this car than the last. The visibility doesn't seem as good. Oh well.
I was in a relationship with:
30 & Now: Married to the same guy, since 1998.
I feared:
30: Honestly, I can't remember. Spiders? Though not as badly as many people!
Now: Spiders, though less now than even back then!
I worked at:
30: I was working for the NHS as an Admin Assistant for the Southern Derbyshire Health Authority (that became Derby PCT - basically providing oversight to hospitals, doctor surgeries etc). At this time I was working in the department that did the admin side of tracking clinical trials.
Now: Unemployed due to illness. One day I hope to be well enough to work again and get back to some sort of admin job.
I wanted to be:
30: I'm not sure when I wanted to teach computing, that might have been a year or two later and got abandoned due to illness. If not that, then I was just happy to have a part time admin job and work a few hours in a charity shop. We might have been considering whether to have kids at the time too (we later decided not to).
Now: Healthy. Then I can get back to admin work, and maybe in the future, I can decide if I still want to teach computing skills or not. I would definitely like to learn Photoshop and upgrade my digital artwork skills, as well as one day trying a photography course. More for hobby, but if I turned out to be really good at one of them, maybe I could get into training/teaching for that. I would also love to be able to work a few hours in a charity shop again, as I love doing that!
