Answerphone message
There's a question on Writer's Block about answerphone messages that I thought I'd answer, but didn't want to share with random strangers!
So, if I could have any answerphone message in the world and had the courage to use it (oh, and used it on my mobile 'cos hubby might have something to say otherwise!) then I'd have Rodney McKay saying something like:
"I am far too busy saving the universe to answer the phone and Leesa is far too busy ensuring I don't run out of coffee or food so that I can save the universe to answer the phone. Leave a message after the beeps and tone - and for goodness sakes wait for the tone before speaking or else she won't get your full message! And yes some people haven't waited for the tone, which is stupid and really, can't they follow basic instructions? - and she'll get back to you once the universe is saved."
Of course, he'd say it fast and with all the right inflections of arrogance, condescension and annoyance!! :D
