SGA Season 5 Cast Details
SPOILERS, so I've put it all under the cut.
Amanda Tapping will be busy next year as Sanctuary has been picked up by Sci-Fi, so Sam won't be in charge of Atlantis next season. She will be making guest appearences in 'several episodes'. Pity, as Sam is great as CO of Atlantis, but I can understand Amanda wanting to do Sanctuary.
Carson will be in five episodes. Yay, not as much as some will want, but I'm just glad he'll be back!
Keller will be in it still - so presumably still the CMO. I'm glad they're not getting rid of her, I like Keller and am looking forward to seeing her grow in confidence as the seasons progress.

Richard Woolsey!!! LOL! Ooooh, that is going to be sooo interesting!! I'm sure there are fans shouting already, but I personally think this could be very good - conflict, humour and hopefully we'll see Woolsey adjust as time goes by!!! Personally, I'm looking forward to it!!
There will also be a new character; Captain Alison Porter. Joe Mallozzi has stated that she WILL NOT be replacing Teyla on the team (Teyla will still be on the team, not off looking after baby) and that Porter will NOT, in fact, be on Sheppard's team at all!
