Tales from the Tech Support Room

I was dealing with someone on the phone today for 35 minutes straight. It was more along the lines of my hearing their office conversation, which I would love to share but am sure really shouldn't. So you'll never know. Ha!

Anyways, when I got off the phone, there was a voicemail message waiting for me. I called the person back, and got no response. I called back 30 minutes later, busy. I called half an hour before 5:00, and finally got through.

Lady: "Hello?"
Me: "Hi, this is Dave from Eastpoint, is Lynn there?"
Lynn: "That's me."
Me: "Oh, great. I got a voice mail from you, saying you needed some help."
Lynn: "Really?"
Me: "Yeah, Lynn, at *company*"
Lynn: "That's me. I called?"
Me: "Yeah, you called. And left a voice message. Saying you had a problem. But you didn't say what it was."
Lynn: "Oh, I guess I kinda remember that now."
Me: "Ok, what was the problem?"
Lynn: "I don't remember."
Me: "Alright, um, if you do happen to remember, feel free to give me a call back."
Lynn: "Uh, sure"

Then I proceeded to be logged into the voice mail system for the rest of the day to avoid any more calls from Lynn.

That's a lie- I actually took my chances that she would somehow forget how to use the phone, or continue to forget her problem. Apparantly it was one or the other, because I got no more calls.

This is what I deal with daily.
