guh, i am so high-strung right now. i finally get my cell phone fixed, then my ipod stops working, and then my computer! it locked up, i restarted it, and now it just sits on the boot screen! it did this once before, but it "got over it" and started working again. i should have known better than to not pursue repairs of some kind. now i use the computer lab.
so at least i have a phone, but i would rather have the computer and ipod, to be honest. music beats most phone calls i get.
on top of that, i'm having serious trouble getting to bed at decent times, so i'm very tired. then i have trouble motivating myself because i'm tired, down, and anxious, so i'm just now putting my laundry in. i have literally had all day, and just now i do it.
i still have reading and homework to do as well, and a shower to take.. i am having serious trouble managing my time. that's usually a sign of massive stress overload, and a good indicator that i should spend some time cleaning my room, filling out a calendar, eating junk food, etc, until things go back to normal.
oh, and since i bit through the side of my tongue in judo yesterday, even eating is less than appealing. i ate dinner anyway and actually the grilled vegetable burrito from qdoba is very tasty. the guy threw sour cream and cheese on it without my explicit request, so if i were a vegan i would have been irate. luckily for him, i am not a vegan and he survived to piss someone else off.
but, let's be positive, and list the high points of my day:
1. prof. leaman telling us about encountering a lion behind a bush whilst in africa and nearly fainting (expect more detailed stories from this guy, he's a character)
2. spirited discussion of, yes, the mind-body problem and other such topics of interest.
3. surprise visit to l.'s apartment for some nice conversation.
so okay, thursday was actually a lot better than wednesday. hopefully friday will continue this trend, then saturday, but if not sunday should, hopefully, be okay. i should be grading in judo sunday and despite my insistence that "belts mean nothing," i'm sure i'll feel very pleased with myself once i'm wearing a new one. i should also see l. sunday, and i have to admit i'm looking forward to that quite a lot, since i feel we meet far too infrequently as it is. ;)
now: laundry and some late-night therapeutic room-organizing.
