today was incredibly long. woke up at 7:30 to get myself pretty. i looked DAMN good, i think. was picked up at 12, got misdirected so we drove an hour too much. took the metro to DC to attend dad's swearing in. pictures are on my webshots: http://community.webshots.com/album/381685227fLuvjv?325
actually it wasnt bad. spent time with my cousin who i feel like i never get to see. and they had chocolate covered strawberries. and i drank champagne.

and when i wanted to try the champagne but not be caught be Becky, my aunt goes "it's ok eileen, just stand behind the pole"
oh, and stealing cookies, that was great too.
dick cheney walked in for the swearing in, and he was late. also he had a pin of the american flag on his suit jacket, but it was crooked. very formal indeed. we got to screw around in one of his offices though.i wanted to sprawl across the desk and take a funny pic, but it creaked when i sat on it, lol. it was built in the 1800s or something... that couldve been bad
and i'm so tired.. 5 hours of sleep is not enough. i leave for alaska on thurs. and last minute crap is ahead tomorrow, so this will be my last entry before i leave. i'll try to find a computer in alaska, tho. night!
