tobys bday surprise
Another sunny day in sevilla, tho its sorta of bothering my eyes bc i drank a lot yesterday and i feel kinda off and slow. So yesterday was tobys surprise bday party. as usual, i´m so dorky awkward and have the worst luck. i was supposed to go on a stroll with her so that everyone could get to the apartment and then surprise her when we got back. i had to plead with her to get her to go on a walk to begin with. we get outside, and its fuckin pooring but we still start strolling along. 4 mins later, its thundering and lightning out. i half laughed and cried. and i had to keep her out of the apartment for an hr. i managed 30 mins before she was almost fighting with me bc i was stubbornly refusing to go back home. finally i had to tell her about her ¨surprise¨bday party. she was really overjoyed and surprised since her bday was days ago. so the surprise still worked just in a diff way. we got back and all the friends we´ve made on the trip were there. it was an awesome night. played alot of 7/11 doubles and then intense flip cup. it was hilarious(sp? i´m having trouble spelling in eng bc i always have to spell in span and spanish literally is spelled how it sounds) which reminds me, i had my first dream that was clearly in spain complete with me paying for a drink at a bar in euros and then i sat down with the devil to drink it. it was strange to watch flamenco with satan.
all the roommates sat down during midday to watch the news and we were horrified. we watched the recent video that has surfaced of soldiers beating young iraqi boys with sticks and kicking them. the worst part is the narration of the scumbag who is filming it. he keeps saying "yes yes yes" and then mimicks the boys beging the soldiers to stop in poor english. it was sick and the fucker literally sounds like hes about the orgasm the whole time. its so scary how much we arent allowed to see in american media. censorship is def to a lesser degree here, its really intersting. the other bad news is that avion flu has now reached greece. several study abroad kids are scared of getting stuck in europe bc of a quarantine or something. i doubd that will happen but u never know. i have to go research movie times bc were all having a chill night at el cine. adios
