Hurm well where to begin? Well first off I got a new computer (still dose happy dance). A nice little HP with 650 MB of space which is a grand upscale from my old IBM that only had 186 and Windows XP. (I'm still spasming on the Vista, ohh so shiny), but the bad news about that is Sony Vegas (editing software) 9, for some reason wouldn't show video when I moved my vid files and .VEG files so as usual I downloaded some codecs that were suppose to work and as you guessed didn't soo long story short (a week) I finally had to convert my vid files to wmv and as sad as it may be delete my veg files which in nerd terms is my saved vid projects so now I have to start all over again and recut and remake my vids that were in progress. So now I am in the beginning stages of recutting BSG season 4 now and am working on one vid based on the episode Maelstrom. I also have plans in the near and distant future to do a few Sylar vids and a chapter series on The New World, kind of like retelling the movie entirely through classical music.
School news.
I'm back (nooooo). Yes sadly, now for 2 weeks and its been ok. I started in the kitchen this past week at the saute station and oh boy was that a mighty fucking mistake. Nearly kicked my sad little ass into oblivion with one day having 50 guests in 1 1/2 hour to 22 all arriving at 11:30. Made a few....Well many mistakes along the way and ending up in the weeds (term for behind) I'm just happy that the head chef who we like to call the Kitchen Nazi, didn't kick my ass out on the first day but lucky for me we get to alternate stations every week so coming Monday I get to work in pastry and dessert (yeaa I actually get time now to see and know what I'm doing. Another thing I learned is that no matter how good french cooking is I will and always have hated preparing it....Always and forever! I mean my God I have never in my life seen and used soo much butter and cream! It's getting so bad that I even dream now of cooking with it. A little good side of this week is that Mr. Nazi head chef was impressed on the quality and turn out cuts of my Julianne carrots( mother fuckin yeahhhh) I do remind that this is a man that has not only studied in France but worked in fine dining restaurants for like 20 years. Another added bonus is that I got two compliments on my cooking from costumers, one of which asked to come to the back of the house and meet me. ^_^
Also started watching Spartacus:Blood and Sand which in first appearances seemed a cheesy sex drenched action series but to my pleasant surprise isn't as bad as I thought it would be, that isn't to say that it doesn't have its predictable moments and overload of sex (they also seem to use the word cock a lot) But I literally can't stop watching it. I really don't know what it is about this show but I'm really starring to like it.
Well that's it from my end. Let's hope next week will be easier...............God please!
