It's been a week since I've done a real post so I'll do a quick recap of our major events.
* Wednesday - Halloween was fun. Ed let the baby play on the filthy porch while he handed out candy. (I put her in a one piece sleeper that she's outgrown but can still sqeeze into so her clothes wouldn't be destroyed.) Of course she loved it! New place to explore!! The kids and I went over to a friend's house to trick or treat on her street. On her street there are fewer houses with stairs and it's fairly level (for Pittsburgh that is). We came home with the largest Halloween haul yet.
* Thursday - Went to our anniversary dinner at Mitchell's Fish Market in the Waterfront. I had some yummy scallops and a side of shrip scampi. Yummy!! Even though the baby was tired we made it through without any real crying : D
* Friday - Work. Date night. Watched Blades of Glory. Eh movie.
* Saturday - Ed took his final portion of the CMA exam. He thinks he did well. The rest of the day was filled with assisting Celest in constructing a model covered bridge. It is due tomorrow (Wednesday) so it filled our free time this weekend. It turned out pretty good:
Here's the dining room table mid-construction:
And here's the final product:
Sunday - Went to a neighbor's house to watch the Colts vs Patriots. We were kinda hoping the Patriots would lose so my dad wouldn't have anything to brag about on our obligatory Thanksgiving / Birthday phone call coming up. Oh well. He would've found soemthing else to preach/brag about (probably the Red Sox).
* Yesterday - Work. Made some sort of stir fry. I thought it was just passable but the kids declared it the best Chinese food ever!
And that brings us to today.

Dam it. There was something I wanted to post about and now I'm drawing a blank. I thought of it while the photos were uploading and then Ed decided to talk to me. Totally caused my thought to disappear.

This Saturday I'm having a Tastefully Simple party at my house. Only about 4 out of the 14 people I sent invites to rsvp'd. I hope they call me soon.
Since Ed has to be here (he'll be on baby duty) he invited some of the husbands to come over to watch the movie 300 and drink beer. You know..... be manly together. In these situations having pocket doors definitely comes in handy. We'll close the doors between the livingroom and diningroom once the party begins. The boys can have the livingroom to themselves while the ladies can enjoy a boy-free diningroom. The kids will be exiled to the third floor. Food, wine, kids and husbands occupied...... it shall be grand!

Wow! A rare event in a marriage happened here just now.
Ed did the dinner dishes as I was on here updating. What a man!
I'm going to join him now in watching The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Hopefully I'll have time to update again before the weekend.
