Valiant Death November Update/ Holiday Info
Ok, before I start talking about all the cool stuff going on I have a few things to say. The first is THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us this year, it has been absolutely amazing and exciting. This year has marked the beginning of big changes for us. Next year the four of us will be moving into a big house in Richmond and running the label and getting a LOT done, this means you can expect a million new things from us in the near future. Also we'll be opening up a vegan cafe, record store, and venue here in downtown Richmond called the BIG SECRET, we're really excited.
But we couldn't do any of this without YOU. I know I may make it sound like money flows like wine around here, but that's quite the opposite. Right now we could use your support more than ever. This time of year we like to do a thing called the VALIANT DEATH HOLIDAY SPECIAL
For $12 you get a popcorn box (what?) filled with at LEAST $25 worth of stuff, how cool is that? You can ask for special things and choose if you like zines or music more so we can make sure you get stuff to your liking. We sold 70 or so of these last year, this year we'd like to up it to 100. This is a way for us to show our thanks to all of our friends and supporters throughout the year.

Captain Chaos is Chris from Ghost Mice & Plan-it-x playing by himself in his bus parked in Olympia, WA. He has been recording music nonstop and this is a very special album he's released.
This isn't an album about the past or the present, but rather the future, the Captain explains:
"What if you found your journal one day but you had never seen it beofre? All the dates were at least two years in the future, would you read it? I read 10 pages, six pages about Ireland and four pages about Baja, California. These songs are about those six pages. I didn't write songs for all of them because I didn't want to spoil the ending for you know who."
NICE & FRIENDLY "s/t" CD $5 out now!!
This is the debut self titled from Evan Gornik, better known as Nice & Friendly. Nice & Friendly is best described as just that, nice and friendly music that's always fun to listen to. Simple acoustic pop songs with overdubbed (and overly catchy) lead parts dubbed in the background make every single one of the songs on this CD it's own little story. Simple, catchy, and totally endearing.
TIKI: GIRL WITHOUT A CAUSE BOOK $4 out December 1st
This is a 96 page, 26 story anthology of the classic zine Tiki: Girl Without A Cause by one of Canada's most creative zinesters, Jen Pilles. Join the lost girl Tiki as she accompanys a motley crue of space explorers through mysterious galaxies full of adventure. Each of these stories are full of great artwork and talented writing, we are very excited to finally have this book available!!
IMADETHISMISTAKE "The Bonfire Club" CD/7" $4 out December 15th
Imadethismistake is the solo project (with a backing band) of Kylewilliam Campol. Drawing from lots of influences imadethismistake weaves sincere and epic tales of love, sadness, and loss in the vein of things from Neutral Milk Hotel and The Mountain Goats to Daniel Johnston, Bright Eyes and Animal Collective. Equal parts folk, indie, and emo.
