Uuah!~ Posting?!? From meeeeeeeeee? Yessir I am a postin and its gunna be a lotta fun because this time around its a MEME. Not just any meme I daresay but a 30 DAY ANIME MEME! YAAAAAAY!
So yeah I'm doing a 30 anime meme, hopefully to help me get into the groove of posting on a regular basis. If I don't do it every day may I be chopped up and made into soup. So here it is! Le meme (stolen from a tumblr via google, how I adore you so) and Day 1 of said meme:

Very first anime:
I thought this day was going to be pretty simple but I guess not, because I like to complicate things because of course thats way more fun. Technically, the first anime I would have ever watched would have been this one...
Mitsubachi Maya no Bouken, aka Maya the Bee. This one had me putting nostalgia goggles on since I watched it nearly TWO DECADES AGO. From ages 2-5, this was one of my favorite VHS tapes to pop in when I got home from school. Maya was fun, she was sweet, she was everything I wanted to be (if of course I was a bee girl XD) The strangest thing about this show though is the fact that after all these years, I still remember the chorus. It wasn't a particularly difficult one, but its interesting to think about the things you think you'd almost completely forgotten from your childhood suddenly come rushing back like it was yesterday. Ma-ya, Maya the bee!
For the first anime I had ever seen that I actually knew was an anime was this little gem...
ZOMGZ ITS NARUTO GAIZ LETS PUT ON OUR HEADBANDZ N BE NINJAS!
Okay so I wasn't that kind of fan, but I was pretty hardcore into it. The freshness and wonder of this new medium I recently discovered at the time dazzled me, especially a bunch of kids throwing sharp objects at one another and running faster than I ever could. Because I was such a new fan, things like fanficiton and forums eluded me, but I was still a happy, content and OBSESSED fan. I can't say I am to this day, but I will say that I can never hate Naruto like some anime fans have, its still has a special place in my heart for opening the doors to new and amazing shows.
