On the Road Again

2006 is barely three weeks old, but it's been busy so far. Between work, and Boston for New Year's, and apartment-hunting in SF, I feel like I have barely been home. Sunday I am flying to NYC to train our new hire there for a week, and I found out today there's about a 50-50 chance I will fly back home next Sunday only to repack my bag and get on a plane to Sydney 8 hours later. I could turn 25 Down Under. It's a little crazy, but if they are willing to pay for it, I am definitely willing to go. I have been trying to get back there for years. It would mean about 20 out of 30 hours on a plane, though, and I can't even imagine the jet lag. Still... fingers crossed!

I put in an application for one apartment already, but I didn't hear anything back, so I guess I didn't get it. It gave me some hope I can find something affordable I am still willing to live in, though. Also, I got a stellar annual review at work, which made some of the ass-busting feel a little more worthwhile. And I am really looking forward to NYC, even if Sydney doesn't work out. I am staying the extra weekend and getting a hotel with Lindsey and Chris down in Chelsea, and we are going to gather all of our BC peeps in that area, and a bunch of Chris's frat brothers, and Rachel, and design the most fabulous night on the town we can imagine. But whatever will I wear?
