Time to write about our latest stupidass meeting.
There was haggling over loot. I'm still not sure what I got. I think I threw my hat in for money. After all, money converts to other things, and when they passed out hats in our cabal, I ended up as scrounger or something. I'm supposed to be able to find things.
Before Pompous Twit (I think) and his plan went into effect, Victa and I were going to volunteer at the shelter with the Nexus, to learn more. Now, of course, there's this big honking $20,000 donation from PT hanging out there. For a shelter with two or three dozen people. Overkill much? And I hope that if it gets traced back to him that it doesn't go back to anyone else. Wait, even if it JUST goes back to him, that still shows that we have a clue. Idiot. I don't know, maybe we'll try it anyway - if nothing else, maybe we can make some kind of contact out of this.
Oh, and I saw two interconnections from the people. Going to get a crew together and track them down. Carefully - not looking to engage anyone.
Anyway, Victa and I are thinking up ways to investigate the school that don't involve throwing around mind-mangling amounts of money, and probably not even magic. Two ideas have popped up. One is that she tries to ask around because a "patient" she has might be showing signs of depression and she wants more info. The other was putting together a fake "Movie Magic" presentation and selling it to the school. Trick there is that we'll definitely have to wait til after the holidays for that second one.
Told Idiot Boy's fortune and he seemed awfully serious. Hope he doesn't do something stupid.
Actually threw a card for each point of the map star. The Devil reversed for this shelter points to an abuse of power, someone giving into temptation. I'm guessing either a) someone in charge is responsible or b) someone in charge sold out his position to make it easier for the Nexus to be there. The School was the Hanged Man rev - Hanged Man is perspective change, self-sacrifice, etc. Reversed, in this situation, I'm thinking points to the students being Victimized - the opposite of self-sacrifice could be just plain sacrifice, against your will.
Anyway, I'm getting a bunch of books on this occult mumbo jumbo, reading some websites and all. No one else seems interested that I can tell, and I figure it's a good idea when there's a big pentacle drawn over the city, y'know?
