cross your fingers, but I might have a decently-paying job very soon. Yeah, it isn't exactly going to be a carreer job for me, but a Manager or Assistant Manager position at Blockbuster will pay more than what I am making right now (zipponess). I went there just asking to work during the holidays, but i have a couple of friends up there and I think I was in the right place at the right time. Oh but I'm totally probably jinxing myself... Gah...
I have to say, I probably wouldn't hire me if I were them because of the impressions that I probably made... um... let's say that when I went in to turn in my resumee'/application for a regular position, my friend there said, "You wanna be manager of this place?" and, well, it caught me off guard. I didn't have an answer prepared. Then without thinking, I followed Jeremy in to the store while I was on my cell phone in the evening, hwile the guy that will be interviewing me was there.... TOTALLY unprofessional, even though he is a friend too. I'm going to try and be the good interviewee and pretend that I don't know them, you know, answer the quastions in a "I'll be a great, hard worker, please give me this awesome job/opeprtunity!"
Or should I... What do you guys think? >.<;
The guy that's interviewing me is the Assistant Manager, and the Girl that does the hiring/firing is the Mannager, and a cool friend of mine from classes. What's really weird, is I bumped into her HWILE JEREMY AND I WERE OUR HONEYMOON IN FLORIDA! Crazy coincidence, right?
I'm going to be kinda dissappointed if I don't even get just a regular job there...
I think I have my hopes up too high. :(
It will also be a 9-5 job, and right now I'm on jeremy's schedule, nights, which means that,oh for example, I JUST GOT OUT OF BED. (It's 4:45pm, folks, and I miss the sun.) Maybe I needto go ahead and start going to bed earlier in case i do get the job soon?
