Things I'm Diggin'

Häagen-Dazs Reserve. So far I've tried the
Fleur de Sel Carmel and the
Hawaian Lehau Honey & Sweet Cream. This shit is premium and honestly I don't know if I can go back to Ben & Jerry's after eating this ice cream. I savor every bite and it takes me about a week to go through a pint. It's so rich that you only need to take a few bites at a time, and you would feel wasteful if you devoured a pint in one sitting. Totally worth the $5 price tag. And the design is pretty "premium" too. PROTIP: Never keep your ice cream in the door of your freezer. It's too warm there and it's continuously melt and refreeze forming gross ice crystals.

Cupcake Blogs. I know you've recently seen
my cupcakes, but none of them are made from scratch. I'm just usually modifying box recipes and I use a plastic baggy as a frosting dispenser. I just cut a hole on one end and try really hard to make it look pretty. Expect more cupcake related posts from me in the future.

Salt. This is an odd one, but last night I spent about two hours researching salt online. Specifically crazy gourmet salts like
Pink Himalayan Salts and
Fleur de Sel. I might use some of this
Vanilla Salt on top of some cupcakes! If you want to know what to get me for my upcoming birthday, try something from
Salt Traders.

Obama Art. This excites me from every angle. As an artist, liberal, hipster, fuck. The latest and greatest in propaganda (let's call it for what it is) art in support of our next president. I can't even begin to tell you how awesome it is to see a presidential campaign reach this point where illustrators and graphic artists get involved in such a fashion. I think my favorite are these

ninjer. Nothing really needs to be said here except that I love you.

Turning 25. I don't even want to begin to discuss this on any rational level. I go from being wildly depressed about this fact to being just "meh". The only thing I'm looking forward to is having dinner at
M for my 25th.
ninjer is making the plans to have a quiet dinner with a few close friends and I've already picked out what I want on the menu.
- Dry Hands (sorry I don't have a link for this one). It's practically winter in Columbus right now which means the heaters are on in all the buildings and it's doing a number on my hands. I've never been someone that always lotions up their hands because I can feel there's something on my hands and it freaks me out, so my hands are always a little dry. But now? Between doing dishes at home and at work and the heater being on my hands feel like the
Sahara (woo, I got a link in there after all).
