The Ohio Renaissance Festival for a smashing good time. We always start out a bit late, and didn't come in until a little after 1:00pm, but we stayed until they closed (sadly at 6:00pm). We really couldn't have asked for better weather. It was cold, but the sunny was shining bright. I got my fill of Turkey Legs, Mead, and other alcoholic beverages, insuring a good time. Even did some shopping around with
mooglegrl, when we stopped at an Herb Shop(pe). I picked up a nice tea. Something "caribbean". It has oranges and coconuts in it. I seriously love tea. Now I wish I would have picked up more.
I didn't grab too many pictures, but what I did shoot, can be seen over
here. Next year we're heading down early! And hopefully on a cool themed weekend, like Oktoberfest or Pirates Weekend.
Sunday night the same crew plus
moistbuffalovag and
thandos kicked it at the
High Five to see
Gito Gito. What, you say? Two awesome Japanese girl bands in one week? YES!
The show was good, but we had to sit through a lot of crap to get to the good stuff. By the time Gito Gito came on stage, it was already so late, it seemed like they played such a short set in comparison.
Actually, the whole show had this weird feeling to it. There were these two bitches next to me up front. I can only think that the crazy Otaku fanbase has discovered Gito Gito. And beer. If there's anything worse than a fucking fat smelly otaku girl, it's getting her drunk. This bitch actually popped her as up on the stage so her friend could take a picture of her doing the stereotypical "V" pose while the band was playing. WHAT THE FUCK? Then she puts her beer on stage cause I guess she's too much of a lazy fat fuck to hold it. Then puts her coat on stage as well. She leaves for a bit, I take her place, then when she comes back she tries to elbow her way in, shoving me out of the way. My elbow was in her side for the rest of the night, and I made sure to get plenty of jabs in.
Also, I'm upset because this guy (guess he works at High Five) kept saying "No Photography" to me everytime I pulled my camera out before Gito Gito came on stage. Then during all the other bands people were snapping photos left and right. I pull out my camera right before the show, and he comes back over to me and says the same thing! I'm all, "What about these other people?" and he replied with, "I'm getting to them". Well, everyone was taking pictures during the show but me. Because I'm not about to get my $300 camera taken away for the night and held at the bar. But I'm still pissed. I wanted those pictures. I was going to use them for a photo project.
I did come away with a DVD of Gito Gito's latest US tour. Score. I haven't watched it yet, but I wonder if I'm in it, since I go to every Columbus show.
That about wraps up this post. I'm at one of the computer labs on campus, on the Mac, and the stupid mouse is so broken. Speaking of Macs, I'm probably going to get one in the spring with the release of
v10.5. Hot.
