Welp, he finally did it. My handsome young teacher actually decided I'm the one woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with. I feel very specail right about now. I honestly can't believe it, it hasn't actually hit me that I'm goin to be plannin a wedding this next year.
So here's the story for the gushy kids out there. Chris took off work Fri and went home after school Thurs to ask my parents for their blessing. Then Fri he got here about noon. He took me to the riverfront for a picnic. As we sat there with our turkey sandwiches, baked doritos, bananas and strawberry champaigne, he decided to give me my birthday presents. The first was a Fighting Illini t-shirt. THe second was a chalkboard he had decorated. As a lil back note, I had decortaed him one for Valentine's Day, because he's a teacher, so it made sense, haha....Anyway, he gave me one that was way better than the one that I gave him (more than likely because his mom helped him) and it said Mrs. Uptmor on it. Then it had a list of rules for the classroom, and the final one said, Marry Mr. Uptmor. I asked him about it, and he played it off like it was just a present, and started telling me how much he loved me and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, then he got down on one knee and said if you answer yes to what I'm about to ask you'll make me the happiset man alive. He asked...I said yes...the rest is soon to be history.
I couldn't be happier. I've never met a more charismatic, funny, loving person before. He has so much to teach me and I him, and I'm excited about God teaching us more and more together each and everyday. So please pray for the lives ahead of us. We love you all!
