what a day!!!!
So my dog woke me at 4 am. Apparently she heard the trees falling!The power went out a short time later. When the sun came out, I could see what had happened. When I went to bed it was just plain rain. Overnight we got over a half inch of sleet and freezing rain! were 6 trees down just in front of my house alone...on both sides of my driveway. A tree had also landed on the house across the street, bounced off the roof and dragged down his gutters (I'll post a pic later!) About 1 o'clock, a friend of his came with a chain saw and cut down the trees blocking the road and the one on his house, so I could finally get out. It looked like a war zone. More houses had trees down than didn't! Most streets were still blocked by trees and wires! Power finally came back 1t 5:00!
