so I find my time at the liquor store is consumed by checking random things on the Internet and listening to music on Myspace. I also spend time looking for new bands, but the process is slow and tedious. It's a lot easier with the Madden video game that provides me with a bunch of new tracks. So, I thought I'd spend a little time discussing some music. First of all, My Chemical Romance's new song is amazing. Its called Welcome to the Black Parade and it is fucking fantastic. It has a touch of Queen's arena rock sound to it, and even uses the same basic distortion in the guitars. I like this blending of punk/screamo to something a little older. It's good to know people still like that kind of music. We saw Firekills play an acoustic show this weekend, and then Maddie and I got drunk with them after the show. It was fun, we ended up hanging out till about 2:30 and moved on to other locations. I had to call it quits at like 4 though. Maddie did get a copy of their new CD, and it is freakin' good. I can't wait to get it on my computer and then onto my iPod. I like this band because after hearing them initially, they just didn't have what I wanted in a band, and it was only after seeing them live that I really started liking them. Well, thats about all I got, go listen to some music, oh, and kill a cow, cause that makes more steak.
