*does a double-take at the number of JJ comment notifications* *drowns in JJ comments* *takes a moment to do the backstroke even* Eeeeeeee! This must be like… heaven! *looks at you contemplatively for a moment* I haven’t died, have I?
Phew. Sorry, it took me a few days because the first day after… I kept jumping up and singing and dancing around the room every time I read it… *mortified* So it took me a couple days before I could sit still long enough afterward to write back! ^_^ As for the story… *giggles slyly* I think ch. 7 is ‘my’ favorite Sei/Su chapter… Hard to say though (it’s probably because there’s one blissful moment during which they manage to work together, powers and all). And ah, the one downfall of all vampires stories… the antagonist almost invariably has to be a hunter or another vampire, it’s true. T_T While I can’t give away anything too big yet, I ‘can’ tell you for certain that yes, Hokuto is dead, and yes, Seishirou killed her. I ‘can’t’ tell you who’s responsible for killing everyone though. ^_~ Oh! But for sure, the fact that the two boys are from one of the Families doesn’t have anything to do with why the villages are being destroyed. (Though being from a Family is definitely one of the reasons they’ve managed to survive it…) And there’s the little matter of Fuuma’s village having been destroyed… (if they’re after the twins… how did Fuuma’s village get hit? *sparkles with amusement*)
Surprisingly, I got several people interested in Fuuma’s position/house and Setsuka when she appeared in Fuuma’s memory last chapter. A couple questions were posed that I initially didn’t intend to explain in my story (I viewed it as extraneous information). However, I’m realizing now that maybe I should clear up some confusion regarding those two… >_> So you’ll probably get a bit more on Fuuma in my next author note. As for his being a Lord though… Seishirou and Fuuma deal with vampirism in totally different ways. Fuuma uses his position in the city to keep himself safe, whereas Seishirou (having lived longer and therefore having acquired more enemies) would find it a bit more dangerous to be so blatant in his living style. And okay, I simply tend to visualize Fuuma as the more obvious of the two, and also as the “Kamui” he sort of had the higher title in X too. Seishirou could live like that if he wanted, I think, but I tend to visualize him as content with simplicity. As for how Fuuma gets away with it… the very fact that he’s a powerful figure in the city means there aren’t many people willing to mess with him. And of course, he can use Compulsion to make people remember having seen him during times and in places he’s never been. ^_^ (I don’t really show the use of Compulsion that much though, I guess) Oh, and perhaps I should at least have explained ‘this’ in my story… I believe very much in the anonymity of vampires-the ability to blend in with normal people. Maybe they’re a bit prettier or a bit more graceful, but as long as they don’t openly do something vampirey, no one’s gonna be able to tell the difference.
*sighs* One of these days... I really will stop writing replies that exceed the character limit...

Don't worry about not replying immediately. As you can see I'm slow at replying also.
After what you said (and what I found out nosying i your posts) I can't wait to read chap 7!
Well, apart from funny anime like 'Tokimeki Tonight', 'Kaibutsu-kun', 'Don Dracula' & 'Count Duckula' I guess the point of having a vampire in a story is often to have him hunt or be hunted. 'Interview with the vampire' dealed mostly with the drama of becoming a vampire also but still they had to hunt to live...
I was ready to bet (hum, no better not to bet with Seishiro around...) ... I was sure Seishiro had to be an idiot again. I guess lack of brain when it come down to 'not killing Hokuto' is part of his chara description.
Well, if they weren't hunting for Kamui and Subaru this let me think they were hunting from Seishiro... unless there's Fei Wang around and he's trying to get more servants? (or Setsuka having a jealous fit)
I thought who destroyed Fuma's village and who destroyed the twins' one were different people... but it seems they're the same? Or is there some common element between Fuma's village and the twins? Though the twins escaped and the village they escaped in was promptly destroyed so it's either a case of BIG BAD LUCK or a connection?
Readers tend to get curious so, what's not stricktly necessary to the pot, might still look very interesting to them. And I'm anxious to know more about Fuma!
So Fuma used his new powers to become a lord... interesting and good matching reference with X.
More than simplicity I think Seishiro wants to be left quiet. Not under everyone's eyes. But maybe that's because he was Sakurazukamori.
Yes, it would be good to explain in the st the powers you gave to your vampires. Since vampire stories tend to give them different powers and abilities it's hard to guess what a vampire can and can't do.
