Author's Note: I like to write Lee Adama introspective angst, but my friends at Lee/Kara sites and threads want smut even porn. I don't write much of that, but in an attempt to placate them...;)
I'm not enough of a writer to attempt National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) but thought I might try National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo).
As she stood by the edge of his sick bay alcove she asked him "Are you sure?" Tears streaking his face he nodded his head.
"I need to be alone right now, but...don't leave me." She was at his side in an instant, the back of her fingers stroking his cheek.
"Never. If you need me have them get me, from wherever I am." She bent down and kissed his forehead and left the cubicle rapidly, while she still could.
His father found her slumped against the wall just outside of sickbay and took her in his arms. "Is he ok?"
"He going to be fine," she had to believe that. "We're going to be fine," that too. "He just needs to be alone right now." His father nodded, but letting her go he stepped through the hatch into sickbay.
Even though his eyes were closed Lee knew who the presence was, "Dad, I wanted to be alone."
"You always were the solitary one." Lee grimaced. "No really, even before things got bad, because of what I did, you'd be off by yourself. That's always been you."
Lee didn't know whether to be upset by the truth of or disbelieving of that revelation.
"If you need me, you know how to get me." His father bent down and placed a kiss on his forehead also before leaving him to his solitude.
