Wow. This is intense and unflinching in its pain and desperation. I feel Lee's confusion and despair utterly. There's longing, too, to feel better or alive, to trust himself if he can - and maybe he never can. I want to pick him up and tell him it will be okay, but he'd never believe it. He's broken and whole, chasing Kara to something different altogether, maybe peace, maybe not but at least it's something else. I want him to follow her and end this frakked up existence he has. Gods, he's just so lost! *sniff*

I'm touched by Lida and you've captured the vulnerabilities of the sixes so beautifully. Their need to give and receive love and their fascination with humans (and their disdain at times). I feel like I am seeing her through the fog of Lee's confusion, love, not love, hope, despair, never knowing quite what he feels or what he wants. It's so much Lee, brought to his knees by imprisonment and his own faults.

I'm going to be thinking about this all day. Thank you!

Oh, wow. This is really intense and spiraling and gorgeous. I love Lee lost and confused, and Kara not less lost but still somehow his beacon, and Lida patient and strange and somehow totally genuine in everything she does. Such a fascinating and developed twist. I really enjoyed it.

Although a bit like 'the blind leading the willing' as my mother used to say, I do think that no matter what anyone else had endured on New Caprica Kara and Lee would believe that only the other truly understood their pain. And ultimately they do understand each other and support each other in a way no one else quite does.

This is a gorgeous fic. I love the back and forth of the past and present; it gives the piece a fragmented quality, just like Lee seems to be fragmented after what he's gone through at the hands of the cylons.
