Are you impugning Lee Adama's skating tunic?! ;)

(I wish I had uploaded the gold lame icon!)

Helo is so amused by drunk!Lee. Hee.

That "tunic" is so big for him, he could definitely pull it down to his knees and do a lovely spin. LOL!

The very idea is sooo cracking me up. Get on that icepilots, my dear. (You know, I never did finish the movie - I'm waiting to see what happens in the K/L version. Ahem.) :D

Heehee. Ugly sweaters aside, I love that scene. I love that Lee gets the praise he deserved and that they are all relaxed for a change and that Lee and his father are smiling and laughing together, which is just all too rare for them to do together. I think drunk Lee is cute and I loved his toast and how he paid homage to Galactica, a ship whre he hated to be in the mini and that he grew to love, and to his father, who, despite everything, he came to know better than he did before the war and came to respect in a personal and professional way that really wasn't there when their journ, and to his fellow pilots and lost friends.

Oh, your lovely comment is making me think I should go back and watch that scene again. *hugs*

To join the fashion police for a moment, I think it must be a pilot tradition to dress the honoree in the most horrible outfit available as part of the drunken fun. I refuse to believe that Lee chose that shirt for himself. He seems to have fine fashion sense for the rest of the series (considerably better than JB's), all button-down power shirts. I see the hand of Helo in that blue monstrosity -- it looks like he pulled it out of Sharon's maternity closet :)

No shirt that shows off that much collarbone should manage to still be fugly. It's kind of a miracle of clothing fail. ;)

BTW, in case you missed it, deleted extension of this scene with Lee and Bill HERE:
