FEDEX SUCKS!
Long story short, I had to order a new video card. So after going through this whole big thing with Newegg about an RMA (another long story, and not quite relevant to this particular rant) last night, I ordered the card this morning, with overnight shipping. I should probably add here the fact that tomorrow night (which is now actually tonight; Feb. 18th), the guys our youth group is getting together at my house for a video game night. My plan was to have both computers up and running, networked together, and capable of having a LAN party-esque Halo (hmm, not Halo, since David's borrowing that...Jedi Academy maybe. Regardless, the specific game doesn't matter.) tournament.
So I ordered the card this morning, with overnight shipping, with my father's assurances (apparently speaking from experience) that for overnight shipping, it would be delivered on a Saturday.
Well, so I check it this afternoon, NewEgg says it's shipped, woohoo. I get the Tracking number later, and this is what I see when I check it:
Ship date: Feb 17, 2006
Estimated delivery: Feb 20, 2006 4:30 PM
So now, apparently, my PCI-Express video card which was the key to getting the kick-ass gaming computer up-and-running, is sitting in Newark, NJ, at a FedEx building.
Yippee.
Let me warmly say it again:
FEDEX SUCKS!
Should have done UPS...
