Lee describes how it came about:
In March, I was in Los Angeles with my brother [music supervisor Chris Tergesen] and sister-in-law [Toni Lewis]. My brother is always talking about video projects.
We went to The Counter for a burger and "Are You Gonna Go My Way" by Lenny Kravitz came on the stereo. I turned to my brother and said, "Have I ever told you that I think the words to the Beverly Hillbillies go with this song?" He looked at me and said, "We are doing it."
That night he cut the song to allow for different lyrics and then I recorded the vocal. Over the next couple of weeks we shot with Toni and [my wife] Yuko. Chris edited tirelessly and this is the result:
